What about the weather?
Embrace it! We do live in Michigan after all!
Since I am an on location photographer, all my sessions are outside, and at the mercy of Mother Nature. Unless it is pouring down rain, with lighting, the shoot will go on.
Bring Rain coats, rain boots, umbrellas and let the kids jump in puddles and be kids!
Couples kissing under umbrellas are super cute and romantic photos!
Reflection shots in puddles are also super cool!
Will there be a second shooter?
9 out of 10 times, YES! My amazing Husband is my second shoot and partner in crime. Unless there is an emergency with our sitter, and he has to watch our kiddos, he will be with me photographing your memories alongside me.
Do you Photoshop?
I feel like this is the most over rated saying during photo shoots, "Can't you just Photoshop it?" The simple, not so simple answer is.. Yes, AND No.
My rule of thumb is, if it won't be there in a week, I will remove it for you: minor acne, cuts, bruises, scraps, etc.
But, I want you to embrace YOU.
I take effort in choosing a location that will be perfect for you, or your family, and I will not Photoshop you on the moon, under water, or anywhere else other than where we took the photos.
I will not remove wrinkles, moles, grey hairs, "make you look slimmer", shrink double chins, or air brush makeup. IF you do ask for these enhancements, they will be an additional $20 per image. (Please understand that Photoshop is not a miracle worker, I am a photographer, not a professional editor, so I cannot guarantee that all requests can be fulfilled)
I want you to be happy with your photos, but I also want you to be comfortable in your own skin, and see yourself for the amazing person you already are.
However, I can do digitally enhanced background, add objects such as flowers, trees, animals, etc to enhance your images. This masterfully done enhancement is not built into the cost of your session.
Do I have to order prints through you?
No way Jose!
If you chose to print your photos at Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, etc. that is completely up to you.
I do use an outsourced professional printing lab that is comparable in pricing to the others, it will just take a bit longer to get them back, but I promise you the quality is WORTH IT!
A few of my sessions DO include images, at the cost of my professional printing lab, so just note that the price does not come down if you chose to print the images yourself.
What should I wear?
Pinterest and Google have a large array of color pallets to chose from to help you in your wardrobe picking, but never fear... I am always here to help, and I will gladly send you some ideas if you need them!
I suggest wearing something that YOU feel comfortable in.
Chances are, we will be doing a LOT of walking during our sessions to get different contrast in backgrounds, so plan accordingly.
Shorter dresses leave us limited to standing only poses, so try to wear shorts, longer dresses, or pants during sessions.
And please try to not have everyone all in the same color, we don't want floating heads (unless its Halloween)
Are pets welcome?
Of course!
I am a sucker for furr babies!! So as long as they are friendly, and will not run off during a session, bring them along with you!
How are the images selected that I receive?
We will chose the best images from your gallery to edit, based off your session type. (Please refer to the invest guide to see how many images are included in your session.)
Can I purchase additional photos?
Well, of course Silly!
Just because my sessions include a set number of photos, that doesn't mean you are limited to just those.
I generally take around 100-300 pictures during your session, depending on the length of the session. Most are duplicates, but there is always a chance that you will love one that wasn't given to you during the gallery, and you are welcome to purchase it from me for $10 per additional image you want, simply chose your favorites from the unedited gallery and I will edit all that you choose!
